The Oper8 method

Oper8 helps teams put AI into the day-to-day work of a company. AI works alongside the people in the process; every decision is logged, and that record improves the next one. The result is not a one-off pilot, but a process that gets faster every week.

What’s inside

The book walks through the whole method on one company’s story, from start to finish. Every idea is shown inside a concrete situation rather than an abstract diagram: what changes in the process, how people react and what the process produces.

The fifth shift · Hypothesis

Service as Moat

The method proposes a move from defending a copyable product interface to building service shaped by repeated decisions with customers. Memory records those decisions with observed outcomes; reviewed recurring patterns enter the third layer of the Knowledge Base.

Product-Service Blend is the service form offered now. The Data Flywheel is the operating feedback mechanism. Service as Moat is a possible strategic effect over time, if those learning loops stay active and their quality is reviewed.

A hypothesis from approximately 12 projects in 2024–2026.

The method, by topic

Atomic entries: one idea, one page. Between them runs a web of links — what reinforces what, what contradicts what, which failure pattern poisons which concept.

This is the first wave. The full map of the method runs to about a hundred entries; new ones appear as the material settles in projects.

The authors of Oper8

The method was written by Sergei Lipchanskii (founder of Kiberry) and Askhat Urazbaev (founder of ScrumTrek). It was assembled out of 18 years of product transformations and three years of AI projects — among them Haleon, Coca-Cola HBC, Bizerba, Chery and Astana Hub.
